Housing projects boost the demand for insulating glass

according to the statistics of China building glass and Industrial Glass Association, at present, the utilization rate of energy-saving glass such as insulating glass and Low-E insulating glass in China is less than 10% in buildings, while insulating glass is basically popularized in Europe and America, and Low-E insulating glass accounts for more than 50% of all insulating glass. With the central government's investment of 900billion yuan in affordable housing projects, building energy conservation will be the main theme of new housing in the next three years. The Ministry of construction and the national development and Reform Commission and other relevant departments have clearly proposed that mandatory standards for energy conservation will be strictly enforced, even less than 5%, to promote building energy conservation in China

Zhang Jingtao, vice president of China architectural glass and Industrial Glass Association, said in an interview that at present, more than 200 insulating glass production lines have been established in China, including more than 70 foreign production lines. From the perspective of the domestic market, the shoddy doors and windows of hollow glass contribute to its rampant. The production and demand of glass are increasing year by year, which was 700000 square meters in 1995, 5million square meters in 1999, 45million square meters in 2005 and 70million square meters in 2006, and this number has been increasing with time. Therefore, it is expected that the annual average demand for insulating glass in China will increase by more than 20% in the next few years, and its market prospect is very broad

there is huge room for the decline of building energy consumption

according to the statistics of the Ministry of construction, at present, China's new housing area is 2billion square meters every year, of which more than 80% of the houses are high-energy buildings. Among the current 40billion square meters of housing area in China, more than 95% are high-energy buildings, of which the heating energy consumption per unit building area is three to five times that of developed countries under the same climatic conditions. According to the statistics of the Ministry of construction, China will add 30billion square meters of construction area by 2012, and the building energy consumption accounts for more than 50% of the whole society. At present, the Ministry of construction, the Ministry of science and technology and other relevant departments have accelerated the implementation of green building standards for new houses and implemented measures conducive to green building energy conservation, which is the top priority of current and future real estate buildings

zoudongtao, President of China Development and Reform Research Institute, said that China's building energy consumption accounts for 28% of the total energy consumption. The development of energy-saving housing is a huge wealth for both contemporary and future generations. China has implemented the national standard "green building evaluation standard" on June 1st, 2006. In the future, both public and civil houses will strictly comply with this standard, and a large number of energy-saving building materials, including insulating glass, will be used

the utilization rate of energy-saving glass is low

Zhang Jingtao pointed out that although China is already the world's largest glass producer and consumer, the product structure is unreasonable, the proportion of high-quality float glass and the deep processing rate of glass are low, and the utilization rate of energy-saving glass is low. At present, there is a surplus of ordinary float glass, but at the same time, there is a structural gap that 37% of it is bio derived materials. Some electronic glass, automotive glass, high-end architectural glass, etc. still need to be imported. The ratio of high-quality float glass is only 28%, and the deep processing rate of glass is only 30%, while the world average is about 55%, and the developed countries are 65% - 85%. The value-added rate after processing is only 2.5 times that of the original glass in China and 5 times that of developed countries

China began to introduce Low-E glass in 2001. At present, it is the energy-saving glass with rapid development and the fastest growth in market demand. The consumption of Low-E glass was about 5million square meters in 2005, 8.4 million square meters in 2006 and 11million square meters in 2007. According to the requirements of the new energy conservation law, Low-E glass will also be heavily invested in new buildings and reconstruction projects of existing buildings. It is estimated that the demand for Low-E glass will reach about 20million square meters by 2010. However, this figure is far from that of some developed countries. Therefore, according to the requirements of the new energy conservation law, Low-E glass will be a key project for the development and upgrading of energy-saving glass in China

according to the China architectural glass and Industrial Glass Association, there are currently more than 1000 insulating glass production enterprises in China, more than 70% of which are small-scale enterprises, which is not conducive to the unified management of the industry, and increases unstable factors in product quality. Due to the great differences between enterprises in process technology level, production technology level, equipment level, management level and other aspects, the phenomenon of uneven product quality is more serious, and what's more, low-quality insulating glass is still flooding the market

it is expected to implement the energy-saving glass certification system

in view of the current situation that the energy-saving glass market exceeds this current, Zhang Jingtao said that in the future, the certification of energy-saving products will be implemented. In view of the uneven quality of insulating glass in China and the serious phenomenon of shoddy glass being replaced by good glass in the market, the energy-saving certification of insulating glass products will be strengthened. Implement graded management for insulating glass production enterprises. At the same time, strengthen the quality management of insulating glass raw materials, especially insulating glass sealing materials that have a great impact on the quality of insulating glass. The market of insulating glass sealing materials in China is relatively chaotic, which is also a problem that has plagued the competent departments of the industry and insulating glass production enterprises for many years. It is suggested to implement a market access system to reject the low-quality insulating glass sealing materials

in addition, relevant experts suggested that the relevant national departments should include the new flat glass project in the "catalogue of investment projects approved by the government", according to the "several opinions on promoting the structural adjustment of the flat glass industry", "access conditions for the flat glass industry" and "notice on doing a good job in eliminating backward flat glass production capacity" and other relevant documents jointly issued by the national development and Reform Commission and other relevant ministries and commissions, Clean up the flat glass projects under construction, and dispose of the building materials and projects that have been put into production. At the same time, we will accelerate the elimination of backward flat glass production capacity and support and encourage the development of energy-saving glass
